Every St. Simon parent and staff member is a part of the PFO. The purpose and mission of the PFO is to 1) foster a sense of community amongst parents and staff by facilitating committees, hosting fundraising and community events, and organizing volunteers and 2) find ways to help further enhance and enrich the school community and educational experience for students, faculty, and families at St. Simon while helping to demonstrate to students the importance of giving back to the community through ministry type (volunteer service and monetary) contributions. The money raised through PFO fundraising efforts is used to fund events/projects and purchase items that can help enrich the student, faculty, and parent experience at St. Simon and to help those in need in the broader community.
The PFO raises money through family donations, Royal Fun Run (PFO's largest event), comfy days, year-round shopping fundraisers, and other PFO sponsored events throughout the year.
What does the PFO do with its money? The PFO works from an annual budget in which funds raised are allocated to school improvements, curriculum enhancements, faculty grants, school-wide service project, monthly staff luncheons, Teacher Appreciation Week, continuing education scholarships, teacher classroom stipends and more.
The PFO is ALWAYS looking for families to volunteer for event committees or to join the PFO Board. Email the PFO at PFO@SAINTSIMON.ORG, sign up through the Volunteer Page or Contact Us Here.
