ROOM PARENT Opportunities

One of the fabulous parts about being part of a Catholic school is the community. Being a room parent offers many opportunities to connect with your child(ren), their friends, the teacher and the greater school community. Ideally, there will be 3 room parents per classroom in Preschool-3rd grade, and 2 per classroom for grades 4-8. Please read through the list of responsibilities below. Room Parent Responsibilities

Planning, coordinating, executing class parties: Halloween (K-5), Christmas, Valentine's (K-5), End of Year Celebration.
Working with the PFO to execute staff appreciation week in May.
Communicate with families via email and class Facebook page regarding class, school, and parish volunteer opportunities, social events, and important announcements.
Communicate with the teacher regarding class parties and volunteer needs.
Attend quarterly Room Parent Meetings.

Your school needs YOU! Get in on the "ground level" of your child's Saint Simon experience and make memories to last a lifetime. This is a a great way to meet other parents and students. Please consider becoming a room parent. Did we mention this will take care of those 10 volunteer hours?
